Barasingha in Mist in Kanha National Park. Winter Mornings of Dec & Jan are fabulous sometimes in Kanha. The Blurry, Muted Cool Colors of Winters are great to photograph. Found a group of Barasingha in the morning this winter. They started walking in different directions as we stopped the vehicle, not because of us but cause the forest dept trackers where coming walking on the dirt track. Getting a pattern was not possible however this is one frame I think I like. The cool tone of Mist Cold Morning make this image. The barasingha or hardground swamp deers are endemic to kanha and where almost exist. They were save from a few individuals. Now flourishing in Kanha and recently also a few where relocated to Bandhavgarh.
Bad weather makes for good photography – Ansel Adams
I cannot agree more that weather plays a major role on the kind of light and ultimately the final image.
Kanha has now become the new Bandhavgarh atleast in this season of 2024.
