Photographed this male tiger coming straight towards my vehicle few days ago at kanha. Getting a tiger looking straight at you is always a great feeling especially when its not very far. Scavenger. Photographed this jackal trying to take a bite of the cheetal in Kanha, this was a fresh kill mostly by a leopard, it was close to the dirt track used by safari vehicles, so must have left it due to disturbance when one of them arrived. Usually leopards come back once the vehicles and humans are gone. Also many times the leopard kills are taken by tigers, so leopards have to take it into a safe place quickly. photographed […]
Photographed this handsome male tiger on the last morning safari at kanha national park. We managed to get in front of him as soon as we got the chance when he entered the foliage for a few moments. It was fantastic to stay inside kanha forest, the weather was teasing us, it rained for some days and even though the atmosphere was great and misty, it was quite difficult to get any good animal sightings especially tigers. Backgrounds play a very imp role in making the image pleasing. This little common kingfisher was flying through a pond in kanha national park trying to catch some fish. Photographed this tigress in kanha meadows. She crossed in front between the vehicles without diverting her path, while crossing she snarled casually at the vehicle in front. You have to be very focused & always alert with wildlife as this was only a one time pose and she was walking by fast, shot with nikon d300 + 200400vr lens.
A male tiger walking in open meadows is a wildlife photographers delight. A male tiger walking straight towards you even for a few seconds exceeds that delight.
