Tiger cub of the Rajbehra tigress, standing on the dirt track just before crossing. One after the other all the 4 tigers along their mother crossed in front of us. Amazing sighting it was. somehow managed this shot dodging few heads in front of me. photographed nikon d4s+200400vr handheld.
An old image from bandhavgarh N. P. around 2011 approx that i never posted, must have processed it multiple times but was never satisfied. Finally today converted it to monochrome and I liked it. Some images are just meant to be seen without color. photographed nikon d300 + nikkor 200400vr + monopod.
Rajbehra #tigress photographed after a long time in tala zone of bandhavgarh. Good news is that it is now confirmed that the forest officials have seen 4 tiny cubs of hers, cant wait to see them next season (hope they survive) and if they survice the monsoon then next season would be fun photographing little tigers. photographed using nikon d800+200400 + rice bag.
Patiha cubs, the family that has kept bandhavgarh alive & active this season apart from the rajbehra family. Frequent sightings of these has made the magdhi zone in demand. Photographed using Nikon d800 + 200400vr + ricebag in May 2015.
Typical tiger habitat of bandhavgarh. One of the Banbai sub-adults seen last year in 2014. They are not to be seen this year, hope they have gone and established their territory elsewere. Photographed using nikon d800+200400vr+ricebag.
Photographed this tigress who is only 1 eye, her left eye was damaged in a fight some years back. She is known as Kankatti and hopefully she has a litter now, hidden ofcourse till they get some old. Usually the tigress will bring out the cubs only when they 3-4 months old. Shot using a nikon d800 + 200-400vr.
Saw this Langur mother feeding the baby, sitting on the wall on the periphery of the Bandhavgarh National Park. I have another frame where the both mother and baby are looking at me but I seem to like this more. Langurs have a lot of character and can be very interesting subjects. It is always refreshing to see them socializing and the young playing. Photographed using a Nikon d300 and Nikkor 200-400 vr lens on a monopod.
The moment I shot this image I knew its not a good image in color but can be good in black and white. Sometimes images which dont even look like keepers in color turn out to be great BW. I used lightroom 4 to process it in bw. Langurs are such great subjects especially for backlit. Photographed this on my bandhavgarh tour using nikon d300 + nikkor 200-400 + monopod (or was it bean bag doesn’t matter as long as […]
